EVERY STROKE HAS A STORY

I am Mahdieh (Maddie), Iranian self-taught painter living in New York City. My work is abstract and draws inspiration from women, dancers, and nature. I turned to painting as a means of grieving after the loss of my father in 2020, and since then, it has become an ongoing dialogue with myself. I express my emotions and inner reflections through brushstrokes, creating a visual journal that captures both serenity and turmoil within me.

Beyond creating art on canvas, I am also a scientist, a tango dancer, and a hiker.
